Hi, I placed an advert to re-home my musk on Fb but then I thought as I have just moved and need to sort the garden, perhaps I could build her a pond to live in during the summer. What I need to ask is can a musk live outside in the summer and if so does the pond need to be heated. Hope you don't mind me asking.

Yes a musk should be OK in a pond May-early Oct. They are not tropical. Just make sure she has a secure basking area where she can't escape or be attacked by cats. Musks are not great swimmers so pond should have rocks and plants for her to rest on and not more than 15in of water. This means it is likely to freeze in winter so you should bring your musk indoors in Oct til it gets warm again
