hello my name is sally i am new here my two sons have just joined you all as reptile lovers, and we now have got a trio of map turtles. we got two but one sadly passed away very quickly after getting them, its was not a good supplier that i got them from.so we have been searching for another one to keep it company, and last week i ended up buying two more from a very good supplier and they are doing very well my boys got them as early birthday presents.
and as they are 13 and 9 they know how to treat animals, as we are animal lovers we have got various animals from parrots to millipedes, African land snails, tropical fish and a cat too so we are experienced
we have joined you for some advice on our turtles and would like to make this a home hello from sally George and Leon

Welcome to the Forum Sally George and Leon. We're a very friendly group and you will get lots of free advice on turtle care from our resident expert Wayne so feel free to ask in the appropriate section if you have any questions relating to care or health or phone him if it's urgent. Maps are lovely turtles -I have three myself about 18monhs old, 2f and 1 m. They are very lively, always up to mischief and a delight to watch. Warning -maps especially are great escape artists. They can climb over obstacles and walls over a foot high and will escape out of fenced enclosures, tanks ETC unless they have a secure lid. Mine have escaped 3 times in the last 8 months!
