hi deano, the fact that this terrapin is in a tank will make it harder for you to grow natural plants without the terrapin eating them although there are a few things you can do to colour the tank. you can use plastic plants both bottom dwellers and some floating ones these won't be eaten and can be washed to bring to a new state when dirty. the other thing like we do here is to grow your own in a tank indoors or out side things like the oxygenating weed which grows very quickly so you would have an endless supply of natural plants and food.. this will need to be washed prior to adding to the tank though.. we also use baby spinach leaves or mixed salad leaves ( not ice berg lettuce ) from the super market a bag costs 50p to £1 and will last over a week if kept in the fridge, this to offers plant matter to their diet. we have added a pic of what can be done with these thoughts.. p.s most pond plants can be used to ( except blanket weed ) this also will cost you nothing if you have a pond near you but will need to soaked in methylene blue and a good anti snail before using. I grow duckweed in buckets outside for my turtles. They love it and it's very easy to grow, nothing required except old turtle tank water and sunshine!
