we keep getting asked for our feedback on foods that have been bought from us... for people who know and have tried it will know we have put a lot of time and experience in to all foods and if in doubt please check out the feedback on e-bay under "turtle food from rescue centre" for everyone else that has tried it and keeps coming back could we ask that you simply add a comment as it is hoped not only will any people with doubts look in to it and buy it but with your experience on our foods will not only give all turtles & terrapins the right foods for less to ensure they get exactly what they need diet wise ( and not as one terrapin we have taken in on a diet of bacon all its life ) but will help us to get the word out and raise a few shekels for the centre... thank you everyone regards Wayne and all the team here... My turtle just loves the dried fish (in this picture), she gets very exited when she sees it and just can't get enough of it.

I have adopted 14 unwanted/abandoned turtles and have yet to find one that doesn't like the Turtle Rescue Centre pellets. Even the fussiest eaters who were used to only one brand will happily eat them after a few days. The best product I find is the Baby Turtle Food -a great idea which gives baby turtles all the nutrition they need to grow healthily in tiny baby turtle bite size pieces. I've brought up 2 yellow belly sliders hatchlings and 3 young maps on this food and they all doubled in size in less than a year. Small size pellets are also great for feeding tiny species like musks. It's good to vary their diet with dried fish (cut into small pieces for the younger ones)and dried shrimp. All turtles love shrimp -it's their favourite treat, like chocolate for kids! Great for getting a newly acquired turtle that won't eat to start eating again. Turtle Rescue Centre sells dried fish and shrimp as well as their own brand pellets.
I like buying food from here because I know that by feeding my pampered pets I am also helping to maintain other less fortunate sick and rescued turtles at the Centre.

Fast growth is neither a benefit, or healthy for the animal, any more so than a 16 stone teenager being more healthy than an 8 stone one. Yes, they love the dried fish and such, but a young child will happily eat ice cream all day for the same reason - it's a treat item which tastes great. Do you have an accurate breakdown of the ingredient / nutritional values, rather than just "high in nutrients"?
