A simple way to make a basic summer pond, though bear in mind it will likely freeze solid in a harsh winter because it's raised.

Wow Dan your pond is fab, I wish I had room for something like that, please post pictures of when you put your Turtles back in, I bet they will love it.

hi, firstly we see this here all the time as we keep all our turtles in a very large pond here with koi and other fish without a problem.. the trick is to offer the right foods that the fish won't take.. i.e dried fish, veg natter, sinking pellets, crayfish, fruit etc... most koi will eat a lot of foods that they can get in there mouths but offering foods that they won't eat but turtles & terrapins will can help you here... if your thinking of bringing them in for the winter then you won't need any mud as they will be awake if you heat the water with a thermostat all year round... ;D regards Wayne..
