turtle rescue have seen some things in our time here over the years and to be honest with you we thought we have seen it all after 21 years, thought wrong... a terrapin has come here with the most severe case of shell rot we have ever seen. how its shell is holding together we really don't know, the prognosis is grave and we can only pray for a good outcome, but i fear its only a matter of time and although it is feeding well and seems happy to have clean water and food slashing around as they do it really hits home when even me starts to reach at the smell this can cause when trying to clean it. my neighbors said is that supposed to be like that.... urrrrrrrrrrrr no.... is all i could say, I've listed this in the memory section as i feel it would take a miracle at Christmas time to help this terrapin despite our efforts and this sort of thing that we deal with on a day to day bases but hay they happen right...? neelix my son asked is that a turtle dad.... what can you say... not sure it will be a Christmas we will all will savoring...
