hi fellow turtle & terrapin lovers... turtle rescue has been number crunching this week and we have helped over 537 turtles and terrapins find a new life this year... unfortunately the same number crunching will reveal that we can only offer help to around 200 or near abouts over next year as i can't personally add the funds that we're used to... due to food sales down, donations down, fund raising down by almost 63% these are numbers we need to look ahead to the next financial year and as all rescue cent re's look to cut back due to costs we are no different, the only thing here is numbers will drop but hay it is what it is... we try but theirs only so far we can stretch a pound, we feel it's only fair to tell you... regards Wayne,....

Please spare a thought for those 100s of abandoned pet turtles spending yet another cold winter trying to hibernate in the mud at the bottom of a freezing pond as you feed your own pampered darlings their Christmas treats. Thanks to Wayne's efforts, this year 100s of them were trapped, fattened up, medically treated and cared for until they were ready to find new homes. But with no funds this work will have to stop in 2012
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY if all Forum members made just tiny effort to 1. Sign up for and use the browser (actually gives better results than Google as it combines 3 search engines -try it !) 2. Use Easyfundraising (get the link from this site) whenever you shop online for anything, not just clothes and household stuff but even insurance, travel and holidays. Full instructions and links for both fundraising methods are on this website Go on, give it a try..... so far we have raised a paltry £63 but we could easily raise 20x as much if people remembered to use the browser and Easyfundraising link. Seriously guys, the £2000+ we could raise this way with a little effort could be just enough to keep Turtle Rescue open for another year.
