turtle rescue can be proud to reveal that we have managed to splice our very first rescue turtle this year with splint to help its broken leg... it's a first for us and to be honest with you it's not something we we have seen before.. i can tell you rescue numbers will drop a lot this year after saving 537 in total last year with love and funding but with income and donations down by 42% will mean we will be seeing a dramatic drop in rescues ironic when we see and fund a fight to save Ono's leg... it's hoped we can learn from not only from this treatment but offer a new hope to save one.. at what cost with in-comings down we're not shore, one thing i can tell you is this turtle needed help and we have offered it... its the first of many this year how many well its any-ones guess... regards Wayne..

Well done Wayne, and presumably the vet Mr Bennett who pplied the splint. Was Ono handed in by his former owner or found abandoned and injured? What species? It would be interesting to know his story.
Keep up the good work, I am sure your many supporters will chip in and save Turtle Rescue which means so much to these poor animals. Anyone reading this PLEASE use the Turtle Rescue sponsored browser and the Easyfundraising link when you shop online.
Wish Ono a speedy recovery.
