The latest tank set up is now in use here at turtle rescue to home a soft shell turtle that was rescued from a sewer drain with severe illness, the turtle has remained here for well over a year receiving the best of care and now is simply loving life, it is now up for re-homing to the right home and work now starts on a winter home for our two new arrivals two Florida snapping turtles, this will measure 6ft x 2ft x 2ft and will take a while to complete but in the summer months they have the lifestyle of a small pond with sand basking area's to indulge in... hope you like the soft shells pic's as we try hard here to create the natural environments for each turtle / terrapin.. here at turtle rescue... regards Wayne.. Looks like softshell is enjoying his lovely new home. Is it a Florida or Asian softshell? I remember hearing about his rescue, a major operations that took hours and stopped traffic! You have done a great job nursing him back to health. Dumping a turtle in a sewer is disgusting behaviour. Some people don't deserve pets. At least it had a happy ending for the turtle.
