Urgent appeal from turtle rescue please.. our pond pump has packed up suddenly so we're asking all members if they would happen to have the following please to get us out of a serious jam.. as many of you know we are a self funded rescue centre trying to raise funds by selling our own brands of foods to help these wonderful animals when they simply need us through no fault of their own from vet care to just being loved and always from our own pockets YET ASK LITTLE and from time to time we really do need a little push to make this happen.... our pond pump has packed up suddenly leaving us with a major headache and round the clock water care to see the basic care needs are being met and would ask if any member has the following laying around to please contact us, we are after a swimming pool filter just like the picture that will pump a 15ft pool or bigger so we can offer keep our pop up quarantine pool crystal clear... now these cost around £80 new but to be honest we just cant cover it so are asking anyone out there if they would happen to have one stashed away they could offer us... we could help with postage but the main thing thing is that these turtles get the clean water they deserve when they need it most... please if you can help then contact us.. regards a very wet Wayne and all the team here at turtle rescue and of course all our inmates... Hi Wayne, I've done a bit of digging and found the Model AC-90575 does approximately 3780 LPH , I didn't have much luck finding what size pond pumps are rated for, so I'm working off LPH. 98 watts seems a bit high energy use too so a newer one will give cheaper electric costs. I found two pumps, the first one is a large ASP6000 which pumps 6000 LPH, it has a max head of 3.5m. Below is the blurp They are also perfect to pump water through a filtration system (not supplied).
They have a high quality rust-proof ceramic shaft for increased wear resistance.
The impeller is easy to install or take apart for cleaning or maintenance.
It has a built-in temperature cut-out switch to protect the pump should water levels fall.
The cage design reduces the risk of blockage whilst still allowing the pump to pass dirt/debris particles up to 6mm.
Stepped outlet allows connection to different size hoses.
Supplied with 10m cable.
12 months warranty
GS/TUV and CE approvedwww.ebay.co.uk/itm/Submersible-Dirty-Water-Pond-Waterfall-Fish-Koi-Filter-Pump-6000-l-h-/110830285716?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Garden_PondsWaterFeatures_UK&hash=item19cdfff394The only problem with it is that the pool pump you did have (AC-90575) can be used outside of the water (inline). I'm not sure if you used it outside the water or not. So Iv found this one, its Hailea HX-6850, it uses an 'inline' feature, which means this pump can live outside of the water, and you pump the water in though a hose. Same as the pool pump. Its rated for 7000 LPH, with a good max head of 5m. Below is the blurp Top quality water pump from Hailea. This is model number HX-6850 and is capable of pumping 7000 litres of water per hour.
This very stylish pump is brand new and is fully submersible but has the added bonus in that it can be used inline (outside water) too, a rare feature with aquatic water pumps.
FEATURES
1) The shaft is made from a high quality aluminium ceramic wich will never rust or wear out.
2) Maximum head 5.0 metres.
3) The outer casing is made from top standard ABS particles which will also never wear out.
4) Ideal for salt water and fresh water.
5) These pumps are designed for continuous use.
6) The pump is mounted on four strong suckers so it can be fixed solidly or will not damage a liner.
7) Comes with about 2 metres of electric cable.
Dimensions:
269mm x 126mm x 206mm

Just to confirm you were using the pump to pump into a seperate filter or using the pumps filter? as none of these have filters built in. Other then that, tell me if any are of use? p.s I like 'inline pumps' that live on the outside of the water, as I'v got a underwater camera, and it records some awful noises from internal aquarium pumps, not sure if pond pumps do the same, could'nt get used to being a turtle putting up with that.

hi many thanks for your efforts on this pump, but both of these are no good but thanks anyway... it needs to be a swimming pool filter pump which we use for the turtles and koi and will need to be for a 15ft or bigger.. pool. it is only used as a secondary fine filter to which we use a large u.v sterilizer. but thank you anyway..
regards Wayne.

Just an update on our filter problem.... with so many members and all there friends we find ourselves still in need of this filter, many have offered help and not helped but we still need this filter if anyone would happen to have one so please ask all family members. someone must have one laying around and we can help with postage. but just can't afford to buy one at £73.00. one person has offered the money but it is wrong for us to except money from one who is struggling badly... so water changes are being made every day to ensure the water quality is spot on but for how much longer we don't know.... As the bills rack up, we love these animals and are asking for a little help... what does it cost to help so many so please ask around. we don't beg often but simply can't find this small amount of money... so please... e-Bay Item number: 230602772908 regards Wayne and all the team here at turtle rescue UK and all our inmates...
