What a roller coaster of emotions I've had over the last few days here at the Tyne to Tees Branch (Durham). Following the delight of the best week I have ever had as far as adoptions go.. monday night I accidently flooded my dining room.. big time.. it took over an hr, till 11pm to get the thick up with the vax machine, I then found my 'old gentleman' dead in his tank (see medical issues). I was devasted and terribly upset.. I wished that in the morning I would discover it had all been a bad dream. The next day a yellow belly was brought to me by a carer for an old man who was threatening to dump it in the river.. then the grandaughter of a man who had died and left a lot of animals inc geckos, ferrets and a yellow belly and a baby map in a terrible condition.. the two turtles had had no uv., basking area.. etc, their horrendous shells have scutes on scutes lifting and starting to come off then getting algae undereath, so I bearly had time to dry my eyes before it was business as usual... off we go again! x
