Hya ive recently set up my turtle tank ready for sum baby terrapins ive researched them alot as i hate not knowing wat they need so all reserch done. im wondering if any1 has 2 baby terrapins. i want a red belly and a musk turtle. please can any1 let me kno if u have these also i wil take 1 turtle from 1 and 1 turtle from a differant person. i only want males. Thanks alot Diane il put a pick of the tank wen its done jus got ma lamps today and gettin ma baskin area soon.

It is impossible to sex baby turtles -you just have to take pot luck with hatchlings and youngsters. If you only want males you will have to get the equivalent of "turtle teenagers" a couple of years old, around 4in shell in the case of sliders in order to accurately determine sex.
While size can be an issue with some female sliders, it doesn't really matter with musks as the females are also tiny (about 12cm) though slightly larger than male musks.

oh thats fine as long as they get along im fine. finally got ma lights and put them in jus monitoring the temp wats the lowest and higest without burning them shud the basking area b and wat temp shud the water b ? ive got a heater in ready to put on nearer the tym. thanks for ur help hun much appreciated

hi water temps should be between 23c to 28c for these... regards Wayne.
