Hi all again, Is there a simple method to how many liters you need per turtle. Ive read in various places that it can be so many liters/inch of turtle, and many different variants, so baffled by all the different answers on google, I thought I'd come here for some sound and hopefully simple advice. Just a general rule of thumb so I can tell people when they ask me would be brilliant Cheers, Ben

hi Ben, keeping turtles / terrapins in a tank is not an issue but keeping them comfortable and clean is... for instance in our 6ft x 2ft x 2ft hospital tank we have 17 small or baby terrapins but you will need to think about when they are adult as they will grow to quite a size. a lot of people will keep several in a large set up but allow for the future and others will keep a couple of baby's in a small tank but know they will have upgrade their tank several times in their lives. while other keepers will keep several in a large set up from the start and although the tank does not look that busy will allow the turtles not only to grow naturally but allow the filter to work properly when they are adult... hope this helps you, regards Wayne.

Yea this does, I'm guessing as long as the tank doesn't look crowded, the filtration can keep up, and the water levels are good, the tank is pretty much good to go. But for instance if the turtles begin to look as if they've not got enough room to have a good swim without others in their way, it's crowded?
