well we took in a couple of turtles today that have only just got to 3 inches with a fine film of green slim on them, the owners said they where getting to big but believe me they are just babies... the pet shop said..... yeah you know the story... anyway the film of algae on them is a simple thing to cure with a lite brushing with a soft tooth brush and the water from a good clean tank.... a little at a time with no preasure applyied is better than all at once with a heavey hand, care should be taken when doing this to make sure you don't press to hard or lift any platelets ( the individual ) segments of the shell if they are shedding... if in doubt please contact us.... and can be dealt with in around two weeks if care is applyied... hay its a very common thing with these animals and caused by inadequate lighting... if unsure because the pet shop said.... then please just ask... even if only to see if your bulb is right, it saves you heartache and these animals the simple care they need... we judge no one here... hay its a family site... afterall...
regards wayne...
