hi turtle rescue being short of everything including funds uses a big bore hose...... this is like a normal hose but bigger in dimension... this allows us to place the pipe in the bottom of the tank / pond and after starting it off we can use this to Hoover all the cr** and rubbish from the bottom of the tank leaving nothing but good clean water and no mess... because we have so many tanks and ponds once started with a little time and a safe dip that you use before using the hose from tank to tank you can remove all the water & rubbish in one go, its not the common way we know but it works so well straight to the drain with no fuss.... don't get me wrong here and we would use a siphon but this does not allow us the time or effectiveness to deal with so many tanks in one go, if you only have one tank then this idea is spot on but should you have more than one then this is such a time saver.... and fund saver... when you think everyone is feeling the pinch, if you just ask then I'm sure turtle rescue can offer you a no frills answer to most questions concerning turtle and terrapins and please remember everything we recommend is based on actual experience we have had over the last 21yrs in the UK with no nonsense plan English, we live on a budget so it wont hurt to ask... regards wayne...

Over-priced, uses a HELL of a lot of water, and honestly a gimmick! The money could be FAR better spent on one hell of a filtration system, ideally a sump filter with a direct-to-drain waste, and if you're DIY capable, then you could even have something automated for the price of a python!
